"Nick Cave’s got a totally different attitude to the way he performs. He’s one of the few people I know that sing in a self-parodying way. He projects but he doesn’t even need an audience for that. He doesn’t take off other people’s energy to project on himself. That’s something that happens separately from what he’s doing. He’s got a very theatrical, very cinematic way of singing and performing which i can appreciate, which I really like, but which is definitely different to what I do."
